I was interested to read that Bret Michaels of rock band Poison, is suing CBS and Tony Awards over a head injury that occurred at the award ceremony in June 2009. A piece of scenery fell on him and he was knocked to the ground and fractured his nose. According to reports the incident was joked about.

Did you see, James Cracknell interviewed on this morning’s BBC Breakfast News? He gave an open and honest interview about his brain injury and how it has affected him and his family. It also showed footage of James in rehabilitation, taken from a forthcoming three-part documentary series on the Discovery Channel.

Having watched my nan suffer with vascular dementia, I am all too familiar with the screening questions that go on at GP visits.
Who is the current prime minister? What day is it today? Can you tell me where you grew up? Most questions were met with a shrug of the shoulders and a strange look towards me, as if to say, 'who is this strange man, asking all these silly questions?'
Local Gran's claim for compensation for slipping accident fails in Southampton County Court

Reading the Daily Echo on Friday 25th March 2011, I was interested to see that a local Grandmother had failed in her claim to sue the event organisers of Selfridges Christmas Grotto for compensation for a fractured left leg. She had slipped on a stray tree bauble whilst she and her family were having a photograph taken in the grotto in November 2009.

Motor insurers to reveal referral fee arrangements?

I was interested to hear that a House of Commons inquiry has recommended that motor insurers should publish on their websites the names of law firms with which they have referral fee arrangements and to indicate the level of fees paid.
