Spending Christmas on the piste? Here are some handy tips to avoid an injury
Thu 8th Dec 2011 Claims abroad
Every year there is much talk about whether those heading off for their annual skiing holiday should wear a helmet for added protection. In some resorts it is compulsory for children to wear a helmet, notably in Italy and Austria. Other popular destinations have decided against mandatory ski helmet wearing but in most places they are available for hire.

their policy holders wear ski helmets. Travel insurance policy wording
should of course be checked carefully to ensure the failure to wear a ski
helmet does not void the policy in the event of injury.
More
interesting perhaps is the slant taken by Physicians at SouthwesternMedicalCenter in America in this helpful article. As well as
checking your bindings and equipment, making sure you have the right supplies
before heading off and building up your general fitness prior to departure,
there are a number of other helpful tips to be aware of should things go wrong
while you are abroad.
