£2,800.00 of Damages Recovered for Suffering Acute Gastroenteritis While Abroad

Ian Jenkins, a Legal Executive in Blake Lapthorn's Claims Abroad team, has just recovered £2,800.00 for a client who suffered from acute gastroenteritis whilst staying at the Holiday Village Viva, Ca'n Picafort, Majorca, Spain.
The illness was a consequence of
cryptosporidium infection. Despite the Stool sample taken in Spain being negative, the gastroenteritis medical
report supported our client's claim. Our client made a
full recovery within 5 weeks.
The Tour Operator denied liability despite the food audits for
the hotel showing a series of breaches. Following receipt of the medical report,
the Tour Operator settled our client's claim for compensation.
