Food poisoning abroad in Lanzarote

Three families caught food poisoning whilst staying at a hotel in Lanzarote - we were able to recover between £800 and £2,000 for the varying degrees of severity for the members of each family.

Guests struck down with food poisoning at Tunisian hotel

Our Travel team was instructed to investigate the claims of food poisoning at a Tunisian hotel, raising concern as the holiday season gets under way. Guests travelling with First Choice stayed at the Abou Sofiane Hotel, Port El Kantaoui, Tunisia in May 2010 where they were stuck with severe symptoms of vomiting and diarrhoea. Further investigations are ongoing but it is thought that there may be other holidaymakers who will have suffered similar illness at the same time.

Hygiene standards questioned as illness strikes cruise ship

We successfully represented a number of passengers were struck down by a norovirus outbreak whilst on a luxury Mediterranean cruise in May 2010. Passengers on board the Grand Princess were quarantined and confined to their cabins, missing large portions of their cruise as the illness took hold and affected more passengers.

Our team was instructed to claim damages following an outbreak of food poisoning at the Rui Helios Bay hotel in Obzor Bulgaria. Guests that were on holiday staying around the 11, 12 and 13 July have come down with sickness, vomiting, diarrhoea and stomach cramps. Some guests have been diagnosed with salmonella food poisoning possibly from the restaurant at the hotel.

We were instructed to claim damages following a potential outbreak of food poisoning at the Movenpick Hotel in Egypt. Guests that were on holiday staying between the 27 June and 11 July have come down with sickness, vomiting, diarrhoea and stomach cramps.
