Blake Lapthorn supports Baby Lifeline baby heart monitoring (CTG) masterclass

Baby Lifeline held a CTG (baby heart monitoring) masterclass for
midwives and obstetricians on 22 and 23 September 2010 in the Oxford
office of Blake Lapthorn. The event was well attended, with Mark
Waterstone, Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist and Edwin
Chandraharan, Lead Consultant and Lead for Clinical Governance running
the masterclass, along with Sue Sauter, Clinical Midwife and SOM, and
Debbie Johnson, a Clinical Midwifery Manager.
tricia Wakeford, who works in Blake Lapthorn's Clinical Negligence team out of the firm's Southampton and Portsmouth offices, acts for clients who have suffered a medical accident. Patricia is dual qualified as a solicitor and midwife and was asked to speak on 23 September. She gave a presentation entitled, How to avoid a Clinical Negligence Claim.
Baby Lifeline, through its founder and Chief Executive Judy Ledger, is a charity that provides funding to enable midwives, obstetricians and associated healthcare professionals to receive high quality, affordable training and updates. It also raises funds to provide equipment, which ranges from digital scales to incubators, to hospitals across the country.
