Claire has responsibility for the team which the 2012 Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners surveys rank in the first tier of South East Law firms and which the Legal 500 describes as ‘absolutely excellent’. Claire has built a reputation for pursuing claims of the utmost severity, particularly head injuries but also spinal injury and amputations. Grant is Senior Associate and Deputy Head of the Personal Injury team in our Southampton office. He advises on a wide range of claims but with a particular expertise and interest in working for both serving and retired members of the Armed Forces in relation to accidents on and off duty together with applications to the Armed Forces Compensation Scheme (AFCS).
A member of the Law Society’s specialist personal injury panel since May 2005, he has Senior Litigator status with the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL), is the co-ordinator of APIL's Military Special Interest Group and is an Honorary Legal Adviser to forces charity SSAFA.
Grant has registered hundreds of great success stories, winning £Millions in a range of cases, from Margaret, over the moon with her £1,500 after a 3-year battle, Paul, a serviceman who won £200,000 for injuries suffered on duty in the middle east, to Chris, a young man paralysed in an accident at work and who won more than £3million.
In 2012 Grant was shortlisted for Outstanding Case of the Year in the Eclipse Proclaim Personal Injury awards. He has had various articles published in a number of leading legal journals.

Malcolm is a solicitor with over twenty years experience in personal injury cases. He joined our team in April 2012 and he is based in our London office. His clients include victims of abuse and neglect, whether as children or vulnerable adults. Malcolm also specialises in human rights based claims against public authorities and claims to the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority.
Malcolm is a Fellow of APIL, a member of the Law Society's Personal Injury Panel and an Adjudicator for the Legal Services Commission. He has co-written two legal texbooks, 'Claims against the MIB' and 'Child Abuse Compensation Claims'. He also writes the section on children in Jordans' Personal Injury, Law, Practice and Precedents as well as the section on the Motor Insurers Bureau in the Encyclopaedia of Insurance Law published by Sweet and Maxwell and he has lectured for APIL and Central Law Training.

She specialises in cerebral palsy cases and runs our cerebral palsy helpline. She joined Blake Lapthorn in September 2002. Prior to this Sue worked in hospitals as a medical scientist for eight years, equipping her with skills to deal with and interpret medical records. Kym is an Associate specialising in clinical negligence claims and has been a member of the Clinical Negligence team since qualifying with the firm in 2004. Caron is an Associate in our Clinical Negligence team in London. The majority of her practice is in clinical negligence claims across a broad spectrum of claim types, including gynaecology, oncology, cardiology, and accident and emergency. She has a particular expertise in fatal accident claims and complex neonatal, obstetric and/or heart surgery injury claims. She is also experienced in providing advice and representation at inquests.
She has been recognised for her expertise as a leader in the field of Clinical negligence, and is recommended as an "experienced, adept and supportive lawyer" ('Chambers UK, A Client's Guide to the Legal Profession' 2010).

Her most recent clinical post was as a senior nurse in intensive care and immediately prior to her position with Blake Lapthorn, she held the post of senior gastro-intestinal research nurse. Samantha holds qualifications in critical care nursing, health studies and as a nurse practitioner.
