I would like to thank you for your efficient and kind service to me. It seems to have been a long hard battle, but we got there in the end.

Guides & information

You could have a personal injury claim if you can show that:

  • You have been involved in an accident.
  • That accident was someone elses fault.
  • You were injured in the accident.

Legal action must begin within three years of the date that you sustained your personal injury, or the date on which you had knowledge that you had been injured.

Legal 500 Survey 2011 ranks the Personal Injury team in the First tier of South East law firms and describes the team as ‘very knowledgeable and well-respected’ which advises on a range of complex and high-value cases. Practice head Claire Howard and Alison McClure are both ‘excellent’.

APIL Corporate Accreditation Scheme - Audit testimonial
"The firm has strongly embedded systems of quality assurance, client care and staff development which should give clients confidence that they will receive a good service"  (March 2009).

In almost all personal injury cases a Medical Examination will be required to document the nature and extent of injuries suffered. Clients often find our general guide to Personal Injury Claims useful. For injuries suffered in an accident, take a look at our guide to Injury compensation and get some insight into who is likely to be responsible with our Road traffic Accident liability guide. Lastly, we often find clients find it is better to know what will happen if court proceedings begin.

Blake Lapthorn has produced the following handy guides for clients which should provide you with more information about the most common types of personal injury claims:
