The article looks at new research that discovered a strenuous workout of heavy breathing and burning muscles can be good for your mind as well as your body. The research focused on 20 minute workouts at moderate intensity and high intensity, and found that after the high intensity work out, participants felt more positive.

Given all the endorphins that are released after a hard workout, this makes perfect sense to me. However, after running to the top of an extremely steep hill on Sunday evening, positivity was one of the last things on my mind as I fell into a heap trying to catch my breath.
