Scientists say that April born babies are susceptible to a whole host of health issues including Bipolar, alcohol abuse, Hodgkin's disease, Parkinson's disease, eating disorders and many more. This is in comparison to September, October and November babies who merely have asthma listed as their most likely disease. Scientists suggest more attention should be paid to the month that your child will be born into in order to increase their life span and their health. The reason? The sun!
According to research exposure to the sunlight in the early months of life is important in generating Vitamin D which has been proven to affect a baby's health in the long-term. Therefore, those of us born in the spring months are at a greater risk of health issues. Not only this, but we are more likely to be out-lived by the autumn born babies and possibly less clever than them as well.
While this may be something to bear in mind when planning for a baby, in reality it is perhaps not always practical to aim for just a few months of the year. Follow the link below to see how your month may affect your health!
