It has been suggested that most office workers will spend as much time in their chairs at work as they do in bed. Therefore it is very important to make sure that  employees have the right chairs/seating and these have all been properly risk assessed to avoid injuries. In a recent study prepared by the University of Arkansas it has been suggested that one of the main reasons for  gym workout related injuries, is due to poor posture during the day  (at work)  which eventually weakens your entire musculoskeletal structure.

To combat this, employers  need to make sure  that seating position is correct and that computer screens are positioned in a way that you  are  not straining or hunching to see it . So the next time you have a bad back at the Gym, think about how your work station is set up, and watch that posture !
