Who are BL Claims Solicitors

BL Claims Solicitors specialise in personal injury, clinical negligence and travel claims, providing our clients with hands-on support, nationally.

We are rated as one of the top firms in the UK and believe in speaking to our clients in jargon-free language and ensuring you're speaking to a highly qualified lawyer right from the outset

His rather crass comments, aimed at lawyers who act for victims of medical blunders and accidents, were that 'lawyers' interests lie with how much money is to be made, not the well-being of clients.' He is further reported to have said 'What we have marching towards is an army of lawyers advancing behind a line of women and children saying, of course, they're not concerned about the income of the profession, they're only concern is these vulnerable clients who would be adversely affected if they're not paid at the rate they currently are.'

I agree with the response from Deborah Evans, APIL's chief executive, who told the Nottingham Post that his comments, made during an interview with the International Bar Association (IBA) were an "insult to dedicated claimant lawyers".

She added: "The truth is that the proposals to cut legal aid for victims of medical blunders and restrict the ‘no-win, no-fee’ regime risks denying access to justice for people whose cases are meritorious, but complex and it is deeply worrying that the Justice Secretary has such little regard for people whose lives may have been shattered through no fault of their own".

Is the Justice Secretary right or wrong?
