I really was amazed at his reasons for doing it and his outlook on the whole situation.  He said that it was a minor ordeal to go through for a few months inconvenience.  He also went on to say that he would do it again if he is allowed to donate more of his liver and he could not see why someone in his position would choose not to help save another person's life. His recovery did take a few months and in the long term, he will be absolutely fine because the liver can regenerate itself.  Both the transplanted section that was given to the four year old boy and the remaining section of the donor’s liver are able to regrow into a normal-sized liver.
